Retail Trust Charity Ball

This week I volunteered for the Retail Trusts annual ball.. What a night! Bradley Walsh was presenting and with tickets costing near £200 each its no wonder guests such as Jamie & Louise Redknapp, Sir Phillip Green, Henry Holland and julienne McDonald were amongst the many invited. Everyone that is anyone in fashion was there and I can't wait till its my turn to be a guest! (a girl can dream...) After a long night of selling raffle tickets, helping with the silent auction and assisting guests at the swanky Grosvenor House hotel on Park Lane it was time for me to go. But not without a well deserved freebie.. Dolce & Gabbana perfume, which I HIGHLY recommend! I've worn it every day since and I love it. I'll definitely be volunteering again in the future!

Hello Sailor

I haven't posted in a while as I've been crazy busy with college work, particularly my buying assignment. I've been doing a competitive shop for Topman & it's competitors River Island, H&M and ASOS. The trend I've been focusing on is 'Hello Sailor'. I'm loving the preppy 'yacht club' trend and its nautical patterns and colours. Looking at the S/S '13 collections has got me so excited for summer (not that I'll get much sun, two weeks camping in Dorset won't exactly get me a tan!) and after mourning over how all my beautiful bikini's will probably stay in the cupboard until next year I had a search for my favourite S/S '13 bikini's from River Island;

Fun in the snow

It will never stop amazing me how beautiful everything looks when it is covered with a blanket of snow. It seems to glitter and shine and transform the most dull places. I love the snow, but only when I'm tucked up in bed with a hot chocolate looking at it fall outside, although I did enjoy a snowball fight and snowman building a few days ago!

Holly Golightly's house.

Pink stairs leading up to the front door, a basement, white with black door, new york... Yes please!

A dream is a wish your heart makes

I have become a little obsessed with Pinterest recently. I am always pinning ideas for when I move out, dresses for my future wedding (which I'm pretty sure gives my boyfriend a mini heart attack!) and quotes that inspire me.

One of my favourite quotes of all time is; "a dream is a wish your heart makes." A Disney girl at heart, Cinderella has always been my favourite film and Disney princess.

When I saw this picture on Pinterest I couldn't help but share it with you all.

Mwahh!

River Island, £15

Almost a month after Christmas & my birthday and I still have vouchers for Topshop & River Island left! This is a first for me.. Shopaholic! I went into my local River Island a few days ago and fell in love with this top, and for only £15 I couldn't resist using the rest of my voucher! I love the diamonte detailing on the lips and can't wait to wear it (even if I do feel super girly in it!).

Parisian Chic

Parisian chic

This image gave me inspiration for my latest Visual Merchandising assignment  - A Parisian Boutique. I have always loved boutiques and with aspirations of opening my own someday, this seemed perfect for me. This project is filling me with ideas not only for this assignment but I can't help dreaming about my own boutique.. white walls & floors, chandeliers, glass top counters, reading corners, shoes, shoes & more shoes, racks of designer clothes, mint green & blush pink... A girl can dream!

Golden Globes 2013 - Best Dressed

With inspiration from aprettythoughtfromkatie.blogspot.co.uk I decided to start blogging myself. I have a love for everything fashion related and as its that time of year again.. awards season, what better time to start?!

Every year I love watching E!'s coverage of the Golden Globes, and seeing the best dressed as well as the worst. There is always someone that surprises me and this year was no different..
Lea Michelle in Ellie Sab
The Glee starlet stunned in this white gown with floral beading by Ellie Sab. The combination of the high collar and slit was a sophisticated look that was gorgeous on her. Keeping her hair loose with simple waves and a neutral make-up palette, she was definitely one of my Best Dressed this year.

Emily Blunt in Michael Kors
Looking like a golden globe herself, this figure hugging Michael Kors dress showed the stunning actress off in all the right places. Showing just the right amount of skin, Emily looked every bit the Hollywood star. A neat bun worn with nude lips and dark eyes completed this look, putting her on my Best Dressed list.
Megan Fox in Dolce and Gabbana
I look forward to seeing Megan Fox every year. She is always one of my Best Dressed and this year was no different as she stunned in a gorgeous blush pink Dolce and Gabbana gown. She made no mistakes with this lace detailed strapless gown and wore her hair in loose curls, keeping her look simple yet stunning. Nude lips and statement earrings completed this flawless look.

Jessica Alba in Oscar De La Renta
With her flawless tanned skin, coral is the perfect colour for Jessica, and she pulls this look off perfectly. The gorgeous Oscar De La Renta gown shows off her curves and with this statement necklace this look is a definite Best Dressed for me. The only criticism I have of this outfit is her bag. I would of loved to have seen something a little less 'out there' as I feel this takes the attention away slightly from her gorgeous gown. Her curly locks and bright lips are flawless and overall I love her look!
